Characterized as a “Dining Boutique Chicken Pub”, Sticky Pot definitely stands out in the middle of the ghetto streets of Ewha/Sinchon that is covered with hole-in-the-wall kind of restaurants and fast food joints. A classy restaurant by day and a jazzy, chill pub by night, Sticky Pot is definitely an enchanting place that exudes a very peaceful ambiance in the midst of a busy school area.
As soon as I saw “Berry French Toast Fried Chicken” (15,000won) on the menu, I knew my decision was set. It’s like two of my favorite food combined, and I am a firm believer in the mixture of sweet and salty goods. The ricotta cheese and berry sauce that accompanied the maple syrup was amazing, and in my mouth was a wonderful collection of fried, sweet, and buttery. But I will admit, it did feel a little too heavy and greasy for me as I got towards the end. Definitely recommend this dish!
My friend ordered the Shrimp Grape Cream Pasta (13,000won). It definitely sounds more unappetizing that it actually is. The cheese and the cream is overpowering that you can hardly taste any grape flavor, and the shrimp pieces also give it a bit more flavor. I would give it maybe a 6/10.
