It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the 02fix, but I actually have a legitimate excuse. Last week I turned 21, whoohoo! and of course that meant a crazy week of celebration and eating. I can’t wait to add my new hot spots I’ve checked out during the week, but first things first- the long overdue posts from last month.
Usually, school food means cheap food. However, I discovered my current favorite restaurant at Ewha, and it ain’t some cheap shabby school food. Located in the shady alleyways in the heart of Ewha, Huku Sushi is definitely a diamond in the rough.
Huku doesn’t use frozen salmon like most sushi restaurants, and is proud of the fact that they use fresh Norwegian salmon. You can definitely taste the difference by the way the salmon melts in your mouth.
This avocado roll is seriously the bomb. Inside the roll, you have your avocado ripe to the perfect degree, your cucumbers, eggs and radish, and some fish eggs to give a popping touch.
If I were to recommend any place to eat at Ewha, it would be Huku Sushi. The downside to it is that the place is extremely small, a hole in the wall kind of restaurant, so seating is very limited. But the upside is that you can call them to make a reservation and to place your order and go pick it up as well.
LOCATION: Coming out of Ewha Station exit #2, keep walking down and when you see where APM department store is, turn left inside, and go into the small alleyway after passing Seven Eleven. Huku Sushi will be the obnoxiously light green store.
