Recently, my church (New Philadelphia Church) made its grand move to the heart of Hongdae. I couldn’t have asked for a better first day at NP Hongdae, stepping outside after service to be greeted with gorgeous weather and endless choices of restaurants to dine at. And for the longest time, I’ve been craving a big fat juicy burger, so we made our way to Burger B.

I ordered the Ultimate BB Burger (13,000won). The burger patty is garnished with caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese truffle aioli. I have to say that the best part about this burger is the shot of milkshake accompanying the french fries. I’m that type of person who dips their french fries in their vanilla cone ice cream/McFlurry at McDonald’s, because that right there is a genius combination of sweet and salty right there. And obviously, Burger B knows how it’s done.

We ordered the 6 piece buffalo wing set (7000 won). I regretted not getting the 9 piece, because they were delicious, and I liked how the sauce didn’t have a dramatically overpowering tangy effect, which I find to be the case sometimes when I get buffalo wings. The carrot and celery sticks were a little disappointing, though, because they were dried out and stale, as if they had been let out for quite some time.

Here’s a look inside the Bacon Cheese Burger (8,500 won) which had pickles, tomatoes, onions, and the patty covered in melted cheese and bacon.

Good food and good company with good weather. And to think that it was only the first Sunday at NP Hongdae 🙂 If you’re ever looking for a church, drop by New Philly Hongdae at 11am and join us for service and of course some amazing food afterwards!
